According to Leonard Padilla there were fingerprints on the duct tape and they were Casey’s.  He said he had heard this information this morning!

The murder trial for Casey trial could be as long as a year away. There are many things, legally and in the investigation, that still need to be completed.

Brad Conway confirmed that the family wants to set up a special private video visit with Casey. The Orange County corrections spokesperson said it would be up to the sheriff’s department to decide whether to videotape the visit.

Baez has been criticized for his choice of a media firm and the recent revelation that a man who served prison time for attempting to extort from Jann Carl has acted as the lawyer’s spokesman. In a emailed statement Baez said, “Press Corps Media is no longer affiliated with The Baez Law Firm.”

Caylee’s remains HAVE been cremated, in the past few days. It came down on 31 December for the family to be allowed to have her cremated. The prosecution has not had possession of the remains since the end December. WOW the response from Conway about the ashes, the ashes could be stolen, blah, blah blah! Come on!!!

And there is one other thing ive been meaning to mention, not to change the subject, but NG puts a close up pic of caylee on the screen and I swear there are redish pink marks around her mouth looks like skin that a bandaide or tape has been pulled off of, I sent NG a e-mail about it and ever since they show that pic more than any other, it doesnt look like a koolaide mark either

  101. I am so sorry for Caylee’s grandparents. I know they are suffering terribly. I was puzzled when Cindy stated that Casey gave her the greatest gift of all. That may be true, but how thankful can she be now that Casey took her away? It made me sick when I watched Lee kissing ??a picture of Casey on his wrist, and telling her how proud he was of her. Give me a break!!! He is as disgusting as she is. I am also curious as to why Cindy always refers to her grand-daughter as “my/our little girl.” Also, many occasions Cindy has said something about having “three children.” Since supposedly no one knows who the father is, at least that is what they say, (forgive me for saying this)could Lee be the father, and it is another little family secret?? Is that the “promise” he keeps referring to regarding Casey?? I know that is creepy–but so is Lee!! And…what was Lee kissing/slobbering on, on his wrist, and what is the green button—for Casey??? Any Pics??

The family had a right to decide what to do with the remains…and I dont think anyone else should and can have an opinion on this…..how would you like it if someone told you what to do with your deceased loved one….This type of talk does get to me and I have been watching this blog for many many months and have commented from time to time..I have agreed and disagreed with things right along with the rest of you..and enjoyed the information etc that has been passed about and theories that have been discussed over the last few months….HOWEVER I must say that since yesterday this blog seems to have become a blog about hating the Anthony’s, for how they chose to memorialize THEIR granddaughter….It was their choice…. I also think at times the anger is displaced here….it was (in my mind) 1 PERSON who did this horrible act….one person who had a choice to DO OR NOT DO what she did….the one thing god gave us all was FREE WILL….im not saying its right or wrong…only saying that you are not in their shoes and u can only GUESS how you would act there….I started reading this blog because it was about the facts and justice for Caylee….I hope it can get back to that…not how someone else chose to handle a funeral for their own family…how would u feel under that microscope if it was your family memeber…did you smile…did u chew gum….did u sing along to the song sung at your loved ones funeral? shame on those that have picked apart the family for doing these things. Justice for Caylee…

  192. southern, I wrote, what I thought, was a an email detailing my disgust at the idea of excluding anyone into a Christian church. I was very respectful, just explained why I felt that way. By the way, I had also telephoned the church, but the woman on the phone got a little flustered with my questions and passed me on to a recorded message.

    I am sorry but it is my opinion that to leave a child in a box while blaming the state so you can get her daughter to the funeral is dierespectful to the victim, Caylee.
    If you are going to exclude people from a public memorial you should have a private service. It was wrong to talk about Gods love for all and forgiveness and exclude people that love Caylee. Of course this is my opinion and it is fact they excluded people.

Its my opinion that they were damned either way…public or private…all included or some excluded…this would have been picked apart…commented on and either way it would have come out that what they did was wrong..could they have ever really done a truly private memorial….it would have been leaked….its clear most people( including me) dont agree with how they have handled everything…HOWEVER I do think they did what they felt was best for the memorial.and it was theirs to do ..who are we to tell anyone how to memorilize their own loved ones….I guarantee you woulndt want me dictating to you how to handle a loved one of yours…nor would my opinion matter….imho

  237. well tessa it seems to me the A family did more of an infomercial than a memorial service. Maybe they do things different, but here when we have a MEMORIAL service,we speak entirely about the deceased. we do not send coded messeges nor chew gum or promot our next adventure.

  238. TessaS I have not lost a granddaughter, but when my parents died, the last thing my seven siblings and myself thought of was spite. We had no desire to dredge up the past or to use our parents to prove a point. It is called respect. It was a time to honor their memory and not to grandstand. I may not be in the Anthonys shoes but then I haven’t invited the media into my life and lied repeatedly. As far as I’m concerned, it is you who is being judgemental.

  247. Caylee’s heart sucked us in from day one, and i found it blasphemous, to even mention her murderer at the memorial, it was for Caylee,….NOT CASEY, or CMA.
    That heartfelt “Thankyou” from Cindy “Thankyou Casey, for giving me my granddaughter…..” ABSURD.
    Casey giveth…Casey taketh away. Even George had to use the podium to blow these bubbles.

  259. Hi folks. I just read the news about Caylee being cremated and that it could have happened a few days ago. Didn’t Conway say she hadn’t been cremated? Can these people ever tell the truth? Also, I hope LP didn’t jump the gun about the prints on the tape being Casey’s. I want to believe it, but I’ll feel better once I see some official documentation.

  262. They not only used the media to help find CAylee..They also used the media for finacial gain(selling of pics and videos..250k worth of media) to get thier no good daughter out on bond while that baby layed in a wooded area in a trash bag…

    TessaS All that was expected of the Anthonys was to do what they said they intended- honor Caylee. They used it as a forum to disseminate info that they wanted out there. This is hardly respect. They would not have been criticized if they had not been so media-hungry. It was bad enough that her tiny remains laid in woods for six months, but for them to have left her in a box for another month and a half till they were able to coordinate thia public spectacle is a sin.

    Casey Anthony’s defense attorney has been criticized for his choice of a media firm — and the recent revelation that a man who served prison time for attempting to extort a journalist has acted as the lawyer’s spokesman.

    But Jose Baez and that company have parted ways, the Orlando Sentinel learned today.

    In a statement e-mailed to the Sentinel, Baez said, “Press Corps Media is no longer affiliated with The Baez Law Firm.”

    The Kissimmee lawyer did not comment further.

    Since September, a spokesman who used the name Todd Black routinely talked to news reporters and issued statements about the Anthony case on behalf of Baez.

    But Black never agreed to in-person interviews and refused to reveal his true identity.

    Last week, Press Corps Media confirmed that at least one “Todd Black” persona is Gil Cabot, who was sentenced to five years in a California prison after he was convicted of attempting to extort television journalist Jann Carl.

    Court records and news reports state Cabot had run-ins with the law before and after the Carl case.

    Multiple attempts to reach Cabot or Press Corps Media today were unsuccessful.

I agree they have manipulated….because they for whatever reasons CANT come to terms with the fact Casey did this…..its my opinion thats thats why george had his break down……right or wrong…they aernt the ones I feel anger for….they are more angry and hurt about this than any of us could ever be…..and to be honest it is a moot point because they did get the memorial they wanted….i just wish I didnt have to hear about cindys hair or the gum chewing or whatever else everyone wants to pick apart…pick apart true criminal actions…if this is an I hate/lets pick on the Anthony’s hair/sock/gum chewing etc blog then make it that…ill just choose not to read…however I think that most of the people here are far more intelligent than that…so maybe lets not get so caught up in that is all jmo…and now you can pick me apart lol

  300. When Lee Anthony eulogized his niece at the pulpit at First Baptist Church, he brought with him a laptop and read from it.

    He told the mourners to withhold judgment and to fill their hearts with patience and grace. He spoke about “CMA,” saying how much he missed her and will never forget the promise he made to her.

    Who is “CMA?”

    Lee Anthony was “talking to all of them,” Conway said.

    “He wanted his sister to know he loves her.”

Just a thought about the suicide–when it comes to the death penalty decision, the fact that G “tried to commit suicide” will look like if she gets the death penalty, it will be a tremendous hardship on the family, and may destroy what little fibre there is left. This is a distinct possibility, considering that the A family is built on manipulation, and of course C is always at the helm. I think poor G is nothing more than a puppet in the A theater. Sorry.

  303. One day after Caylee Marie Anthony’s memorial service, the lawyer representing the toddler’s grandparents confirmed the girl’s remains have been cremated and that they are not located at her family’s home.

    Attorney Brad Conway, who represents George and Cindy Anthony, wouldn’t say where Caylee’s remains are being kept.

    Conway also addressed a question many were left wondering after Tuesday’s memorial: Who was her uncle Lee Anthony referring to when he repeatedly said “CMA?”

    Hi steph, humble, kim(manfred) I had to take some time out because my head was going to blow a gasket with the garbage the As were spewing. It was worse to hear C say whoa is me and I would wipe tears…what tears? tears that the snack bar is out of poptarts? Then Lee, good gosh is there a pack between Casey and him or what? He KNOWS ALOT and that is why the IS going to tell or go to jail. IF the print news is for real, then there will be a deal made. My guess is the “meeting is to do just that. Confront Casey to fess up “it was an accident that the tape ended up on my dead drugged baby and then OOPs she was in the trash bags then uhoh, she went and got her self buried” dont misconstrue this statement…
    I have had way too much of the As milking this situation and I agree, how do you exclude anyone from attending the service unless they were the crazies, real crazies that stalked them. However, LP for instance has gone out of his way to get to the truth, GVS, NG(she held her tongue with Cindy out of sorrow for her being a grandmother/mother but NOT because she agreed with her behavior…liars do not fair well with NG)how about the Christian or ZEN way or any way that people can let bygones be bygones and come together to grieve. Strangers do not usually show up to grieve the death of a stranger. Some have supported the family(for whatever reasons), some(loons_support Casey, and most just want to grieve the miserable way this baby died. They wanted to show support for the child. I doubt most of the people at the service did not come to hear the crap about casey, or to hear Cindy or lee, but to be present and pray together for the remains of Caylee.
    These people one day would wake up and SEE what happened. It will not be easy. It never is for any family that loses a loved one, to know they will not be back. It has to be hard with a murder. They are NOT THE ONLY FAMILY that has suffered the loss of a child at the hands of a relative, the parent. They are the only ones in the media that I can recall that have lived in pathetic denial for so long and blamed the rest of the world for their mistakes instead of just owning up”we were not perfect parents, we chose not to listen to our daughter and let her go on with her life instead we chose to force mother hood on to her. We inadvertently used Caylee as a pawn in our home which backfired. We know now that all those times we taunted Casey about taking Caylee away were a mistake. We should have taken custody and thrown her out on the street to make it her self. We should have stopped paying her theft bills. But we did not. We are here without both of these girls. Now we buried one at the hands of the other”. What courage that would take instead of hiding from the truth.
    I am glad this part is over. The As if they truly want to walk the talk, they need to jump over and help the loss of the other little girl in FL that is missing. Highly probable that the teen girlfriend did something. I hope not. However, this is reality. A reality that the As could see for them selves. See that they are the only ones that are living in their dream world. Get that visit so they can be ADULTS/parents to Casey. Hold her until she tells the truth. Yes they can be there for her but real courage comes from facing the truth with her FOR Caylee.
    So there is my story and I am sticking to it. It has been a rough few days, my shoulder is not doing well and I am off to CA again to the DRs. The pain is awful, my implant/reverse replacement is failing. My second one and not a year old. Due to the complications from the long term IV antibiotics I am fighting serious infections that are not responding in my sinuses. These are unknown staph and pseudomonas infections. My years as a respiratory therapist did not do well by my immune system. Anyway, I will keep a watch but I am typing one handed for the most part. I am right handed but not at this time. Thank goodness the onehanded cartwheels are not so popular these days. This has been going for 3 plus years. I am trying to stay positive. Only by bigger powers than me am I still here. I am an international study. Not a huge survival rate and that was a while ago. Guess being a LEO has its perks. Well, some. 9 lives comes in handy.

  311. TessaS – Everybody is entitled to their own opinion. But I’m sorry, I lost any respect or pity I may have had for this family long ago. And although the memorial did go better than most people anticipated, I still feel it shouldn’t have been made so public considering how Caylee died.

    Now they want everybody to know how special and loved Caylee was and that she’ll never be forgotten. Yeah, these are very caring and loving people who genuinely had this little girls best interest at heart. They cared so much that nobody in that family knew where she was or who she was with when they assumed Casey was going to work everyday. They never questioned why nobody ever met this “nanny” or knew where she lived but was caring for their granddaughter on a daily basis. They bought every lie Casey ever told them hook, line and sinker and yet they want us all to believe Casey will be Mother of the Year when the truth finally comes out.

    Well guess what – the truth is about to come out and I’m guessing it’s got nothing to do with being Mother of the Year !

Then she turned around and lied to the media. There never was pizza in the trunk. She told lies about the impound manager, she just never stopped. These were not white lies, these were flagrant.

The statements about Cindy’s hair or the gum-chewing or Lee’s tube socks are entertaining to me, but it doesn’t take away from the fact that all of the Anthonys have been deceptive, they have been critical of the media, law-enforcement and anybody who has tried to help them, but don’t share their opinion about Casey’s involvement in Caylee’s death. It is very hard to have but so much sympathy for them.

    I am sorry that you disagree with this decision, but I would pray that you continually lift us up in prayer and ask for God’s merciful presence with us to protect and to comfort every time we open our doors for memorials.

Let’s hope we hear for sure that the duct tape has casey’s fingerprints on it and Lenny’s source has it correct. If the duct tape doesn’t then it means there were not prints from the water ruining them ,as we all know casey’s would be the ones on it hands down. I think if they are and it is one hundred percent verified cindy is going to turn on Casey in a furious rage. There will be no way Cindy can not believe she did it if this evidence is there.     Did anyone see the photo of Caylee at the Memorial wearing the shirt with all the hearts? They were in the same shape of the alleged heart sticker placed on her mouth.

    Zanie has a heart tatoo on her hand between her thumb and index finger. Did Casey see this and used this information to set up poor Zannie?

    Is the public aware of how many mothers use drugs and over the counter medication to put out their kids so they can party? I think Caylee spent many nights in the trunk of the car sedated. In the end I believe Casey was acting in a vindictive way to hurt her mother and end the competition between Caylee and Casey. Casey was no longer the center of attention and she could not take it.

    Yea and they were horror films to boot. Casey’s friends who live there were Dante & Annie. Dante said in his statement that a person named Alicia live in the empty apt. before. Annie and Mallory , Lees girlfriend, were friends too. This is all per LE statements that I read. Did I mention before that Casey’s boyfriend Tony said in his statement that he is the one who broke the lock on the Anthony’s shed so Casey could get the gas cans. I would have asked her why do you need gas cans. There is more to this than meets the eye.

  762. Yes, duct tape is quite sticky, and it is customarily torn rather than cut.

    My Grandmother used to wrap packages in duct tape. She would send me a package and I could spot it a mile away in the post office amongst other packages. “It is the one with the duct tape”, I would say. I think she thought that was what it was for.

  776. If anybody didn’t catch this lets look at things better. George Anthony supposedly “attempted suicide” two EMPTY bottles of prescriptions were found in the room where he ANSWERED the door. Something wrong here people he answered the door yet two bottles of prescriptions were found, he should have at least been passed out or dead at that point he even had an intellectual conversation on the way to the hospital. This was nothing more than another act from the Anthony’s to try and prevent the death penalty for Casey. Just like Cindy telling the detectives that the reason that she did not bring in the credit card statements was because SHE looked through them and found nothing strange. Are we hiding something Cindy? As far as I am concerned the whole family is just as guilty and all of them should be brought up on trail and give them life sentences except Casey, she gets the death penalty.

Why is she NOT treated like any other inmate? What makes LE treat the Anthony family better than they would treat you or me if we lied, manipulated and withheld evidence fromn them? This thing is going to go the Anthony way. Seems like eve4ryone cares more for Casey than they ever did for Caylee.

  788. I agree with Linda. Casey is not really living like an incarcerated person. She is given special treatment because of her high profile status. I just wonder if this will change after she is found guilty and sent to a maximum security prison. I doubt that she will be treated as well there. I too, feel as if the Anthony’s show too much sympathy for Casey. I was very diappointed that the Memorial Service was more about Casey than for Little Caylee. The Anthony’s seem to be a very Co-Dependent family.
