RECAP: Melissa England met Casey

On 17 July 2008 Melich received a call from Melissa England, a friend of Troy Brown. She was in town on 2 July and met Casey for the first time. She spent time with Casey on 3 July. While inside a Target store, Casey received a call from Cynthia. Melissa said Casey was obviously irritated and it appeared to be an annoyed conversation. Melissa overheard Casey speaking about financial issues and Casey also mentioned the “KID was with the nanny”. Melissa said that over the several hours he spent with Casey on 3 July, Casey hardly mentioned she had a child. Melissa found it odd.

  18. All I did today was go look at a house to do a bid for some work that needs done..IT’S A HUGE MESS!! And then I worked at home.. I’m a little tired, but still have things to do, so I can’t quit yet.. *L*

  21. funny , i guess casey took everyone and anyone to target , my guess is that she liked to show she could buy things around people , even if it was just a case of beer

  25. Brown, Troy – Friend of Casey’s. Amy’s former roommate. Former boyfriend of Lauren Coppel. Troy met Casey for first time on his birthday (June 5, 2007) and became friends with her when she started dating Ricardo Morales. During discussion with sister about how much she got paid babysitting (he felt it was a low number), he said they should ask Casey since she had a nanny. Casey never gave him a straight answer. He never heard her refer to the nanny by name, nor did he see her make or take a call from the nanny.

  29. England, Melissa – Friend of Troy Brown’s from Virginia. Visited Troy July 2 through July 5 (but still there on July 23 or back to give testimony?). Because Troy had to work July 3, she spent the day with Casey the day she got her tattoo (possibly). The first thing Casey had said to her upon meeting her July 2 was “We should get a tattoo” to which Melissa responded “You’re crazy. I’m not getting another tattoo.” During the time they were together, there was no mention of Caylee, which was a disappointment to Melissa since she was in a relationship with a man who had a baby, and she was looking forward to talking to Casey about kids.   43. Patrick visited Casey at the jail on July 24th, claiming he knew her from high school, which is a crock. He mentioned an individual, Mike Walker, who knew Casey.

  57. maybe Casey started to steal money after she witnessed George blowing his retirement money, having an affair and Cindy paying it back. Maybe, Casey observed all those events and told herself if her own dad could get away with it, why couldn’t she.

  62. Apparently Casey was oblivious to how anybody besides her family, would think that it was strange for somebody in her situation to require a nanny. Casey obviously wasn’t working while Melissa was hanging out with her, so I’m sure Melissa was wondering why Casey didn’t have Caylee.

    It’s so hard to keep up with all the different people that are involed in this case. I thought I knew a lot about it but it doesn’t look like it. I never heard of Melissa England and Troy Brown. I see that the OCSD check everyone out. Every stone was turned in this case. All the money that dept. spent on this case. It all could of been over if Casey only told the truth.

    When you go in and visit an inmate they do check your id and if there are any warrants out they arrest you. I would think if Patrick was wanted he would have been arrested when he went to visit Casey.

    Someone else had mentioned that about Patrick visiting. Seems LE would have checked out visitors.

    They do check out ids when you visit. Even when you are in the city jail waiting for trial. My sister was arrested when she went to visit her old boyfriend at the time because she had a warrant.

    I don’t want to say anything about the BS site, but some of the things I read over there about other things IMO were just crazy. Like while Casey was out on bail she went to the H2O water tower. Another was LP was trying to sell either Caylee(pretty sure it was Caylee’s) or Casey’s pics to magazines. There was more then that but I can’t remember them all.

  110. I think so too Stephanie! They check it all! I am unsure who really wrote the story on the dailybs…I see it all over the net……

    I did see one person claiming to be a school mate of Casey claims that walker didn’t go to school at Colonial, but he did graduate in 2004, the school site says so!

    I am not sure about any of it except if Patrick was wanted he would have been arrested, more then likely. I do remember his visit to Casey and always thought it was a bit strange.

  117. There is a lot I want to know. Criminal record – Mike Walker. The 3 visitors that never showed up to see Casey. One named Stafani Kotsakis I believe. Criminal record check.

    This could be a fulltime job.

  119. I don’t want to say anything bad because Sean Krause passed away. But, I would be careful of everything you read of his. He did have emails back and forth with Cindy and phone conversations.

  121. Stephanie – agree. Very strange visit. Seemed to me he was hiding under his hat and she seemed shaken up.

  126. They are doing a story on the Anthony case on the Today Show. It is about Casey’s grandmothers interview and if Casey hated her mother more then she loved Caylee.

  132. Humble – I’m curious about those 3 people. If I remember correctly, they were the ones who took a trip out west. All on separate flights, wasn’t it?

  135. They were supposed to be on the same flight but were also having different obligation. Like one was going to another state to visit also.

    I totally understand why Shirley feels that way about Cindy’s behavior, she is her mom. But I don’t believe that was the reason for Cindy’s behavior.

    Everything not verified has to be taken with a grain of salt. But I wouldn’t put much past KC. On the Patrick jail visit video, she didn’t seem to know him and he expected that, so he mention Mike. That got a slight rise out of her, she def knew the name. Probably looking to stick himself in there for attention, but who knows? Maybe this Mike couldn’t go because of background checks, so he sent this Patrick. Just strikes me as another peculiar thing; why go at all? To send message, let her know they know something? Seems she wanted to get rid of him quick. Mikka had a post on awhile back about some psychic who predicted a Patrick would be a witness. Weird coincidence?
