    20 years experience Simon-blog network ask why it took 31 days to report caylee missing-would not answer him said to call after the show she had her on thoughts on that.
    Duct tape M. B. said she had heard that it could have been as many as 5 strips on caylee mouth- but not said in the report. dr. said it may have been to stop vomiting after death.

  35. Did they say that the remains were found in Caylee’s clothes? Clothes they show her wearing in a photo. Also the items found with the body came from the Anthony home, like the blanket and the missing laundry bag. There is noooooooo way they can explain that away. Wishful thinking on their part.

    the judge doubled their sentences today – yet it still isn’t enough for what they did to him
    I am angry that the laws DONOT protect children

    Changes need to be made in MANY areas regarding children

    We’ve had many cases lately were children have been killled yet under the ’supervision’ of child protection

    It is sickening…i watched a show yesterday called “family shame” it was about 3 different families that their child murdered others. You had 2 of them turn their children in…but try and save them from the death penalty…they didn’t support what they did but loved their child…i understand this. The other family went with their child was insane…not that he didn’t do it but he was insane. Very different than the Anthony’s. There has been parents that live in denial, but I don’t recall any of them going to the extremes and helping cover up like the Anthony’s.

    what i got from it wasn’t it being blamed on society but when we see things like this happen why are we not trying to figure out why and change it before it gets to this point. You are right they created Casey, but in reality there are many more coming and we do need programs in school to help change things…we wouldn’t have as many Casey’s if we did that. I do think that comes to us as a society to try and change things…get programs in school while they are young

  139. Steph, I agree with all those scenerios, I even agree with the parents making statements on behalf of thier kids describing how innocent they once were before IT happened. The Anthonys are another kettle of fish. They EXPECT no consequences whether she’s guilty or not. They just think that they are above it all. They set that monster free on society and she’s caused havoc everywhere she’s gone. They should be paying financially, criminially and emotionally.

    I think there are many reasons why people abbuse children – some I see as excusses but I also do think that the way a person is parented will have a huge inpact on the way they parent their children

    I wish it was as easy as saying: If a child is loved they will love (but its not that easy and there are many layers to this problem)

I agree that something needs to be started when kids are young etc, but when we have woman who demand that their daughters have babies when they claim they are a sociopath and leave the child in the neglectful care of the sociopath, accountability needs to be addressed. If Cindy were proscecuted, I’ll bet Neveah’s grandmother wouldnt be passing the child off and a dozen others like her who pass the buck.

    It doesn’t bother me because as much as we didn’t create Casey and Cindy and George did…there are many other Casey’s out there. So often people see things or suspect things and they just turn their heads. Nobody wants to step in…as a society in some ways we are responsible. Yes I think they should all be punished to the full extent of the law, but I also believe as a society we have to change things…when we just keep seeing one after another killing their children and just want them prosecuted…we are not stopping or trying to figure out and stop the problem before it gets to that point. Will we ever be able to stomp it all out with programs to teach children a different way probably not, but we can save many.

    I could be wrong, but I think maybe Casey was an example…how many were killed by their parents since then? I think that is what it is all about the bigger picture. Caylee is very precious but she is one of thousands of children.

  155. I agree with that Steph completely. My problem is that when things like that are written, it provides another avenue for Cindy to worm her way out. I believe even if she had not tampered with evidence, she should have been charged with neglect. Examples need to be set. There are young mothers dropping their kids off with characters and both need to be looked at. If a grandparent has custody or reason to believe harm could possibly come to a child and they allow the child with the parent or others who are harmful, I think they need to be charged. Too much is made about flexiblility for family members because they didn’t THINK anything would happen. Often there were many signals.

  156. A dysfunctional family like this will always hide the behavior…they hid all of their behaviors…they are taught to only trust those in the home…not outsiders. Some are just born evil and like Helen said there are many layers to abuse. But, one thing that most abusers have is dislike for themeselves.

    Tan, They’ve hidden her behavior all along and great cost to others. IF that isn’t enough they want to further hide her behavior even though a death has occurred. Nothing short of criminal punishment will ever stop them. There is nothing to stop them from repeating this behavior all over again with Lee’s child. If they aren’t punished then why would they change?

  159. Do you all remember the 16-17 yr old boy being kept and chained in the garage…he was beaten and neighbors thought he was about 12 and mistreated…he climbed over a wall after about a year…not one person that thought he was being mistreated call le…what the h*ll is wrong with these people?

    add on to that the lack of parental skills and parents that expect teachers (over worked AND under paid) to raise their children

    lets not forget the disposable nature of society

  166. Yes Joann…I remember sitting here listening to the girl from the gym. He hid under the desk as she called the LE and she stood there in front of where he was hiding to protect him if they came in…i remember sitting her crying listening to her. Than listening to neighbors yelling words at the tv I never yell or really say, lol. There are too many people that just don’t want to get involved. Which is amazing because you can even call anonymously.

    There was a little boy where my daughter worked and the school wouldn’t call CPS…i don’t know why except they wanted the money…it was a private school. Anyhow my daugher doesn’t work there anymore and yes CPS was called just not by the school.

  171. It just isn’t the me, me, me, nature of kids. There were two generations of adults with that attitude in the Anthony family.
    No one has parental skills when they have their first child. The normal ones learn pretty quick to put their kid first and their own life on the back burner. If we know our kids are having problems, it is our duty to get up of our butts and do something- hard or not.

  175. think we need alot more CPS workers..their case loads are ridiculous and if you are sick and call off that case load gets skipped to the next month..alot can happen in that time..alot of forgery goes on because of the amount of cases and added ones coming in…like the mail..never stops
